The executions on May 3rd

Muriedas is the hometown of captain Pedro Velarde. During these days this town commemorates the Spanish uprising against Napoleon.
Captains Daoiz and Velarde died defending the Monteleon artillery depot in Madrid in 1808 fighting against Napoleon's troops.
