Meanwhile back at the birdbath

There are two crows that have been chasing the red squirrel away from the bird bath and claimed it theirs. They are extremely funny these crows. They bring things to eat and drop them in the bird bath - and appear to be washing the things off - or marinating them - then eating them slowly. They return over and over to drink from the bath. This means there are virtually no small song birds that visit. But there is a bit of competition from the red squirrel who comes to drink and gets chased away by one of the crows. He still trys to come back though when the coast is clear. So much for getting much done looking out my kitchen window!
