Pads of Peace

Quite a stressful day - for several reasons - then went for a walk with J in Newhall - after HER stressful day (first A level exam) - we met Gill, and walked for ages, and saw beauty after beauty: buttercups that made J's chin glow; her blowing dandelions into the wind; climbing a tree; different shades of green reflected in the millpond; the heron coming in for a landing; wisteria up the walls of the hotel; bluebells, blue, pink and white, in their thousands lining the driveway; a goose sheltering several new goslings under her wings; bees working in palest pink rhododendrons - so, so much, and so restoring.

These lily pads won, with their molten sky, because of the peacefulness they conveyed, even here in a photo on a screen.
