The curry leaf tree. The leaves are used to flavour particularly south Indian dishes . The leaves smell wonderful when you rub them between your fingers.
I have several plants indoors and use some leaves for cooking. I have just grown some more from seed.
Here is a recipe for a chicken curry from Kerala state in south India

500Gm chicken pieces
2 onions chopped
2 tomatoes quartered
2 green finger chills deseeded and slit
1/2" fresh ginger chopped
3cloves garlic sliced
1 cup coconut milk (tinned)
2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp crushed black pepper
4 crushed cloves
1" piece of cinnamon crushed
2 tbsp coconut oil (or other oil)
2 tbsp ghee
2 sprigs curry leaves
salt to taste.

soak coriander chilli and turmeric in a little water
Heat oil and sauté onions ,garlic, ginger, chills & curry leaves.
Add soaked and crushed spices ,fry 1 minute
Add tomato and cook few minutes
Add chicken pieces with salt to fast, stir well and cook medium temp. Stir occasionally. Maybe add a small quantity of water if a bit dry and sticking. Cook until tender and cooked through
Add coconut milk and cook further five minutes.

This is delicious and freezes well.
I hope you will try it
