....or more approriately, Guns and Blossom.

This is not a military uprising in the Meadows to overthrow Alec Salmond and his leadership of the Scottish government, nor is it a military exercise, but a recruitment campaign for the reservists, or the Territorials as we call them.

I'm sure if he had been 50 years younger, His Lordship would have signed up on the spot as we passed this morning. As it was he was so eager to engage the men in uniform with his exploits in the jungles of Malaya and his knowledge of guns that it was difficult to drag him away in order to scavenge for food in Morningside.

And wonders of wonders the sun is trying to come out, but the wind is still in the east and according to the forecast it feels like 4 degrees. The heating is on again.
