Royal Bathurst Show 2014

Well folks, this is my exercise for this evening. The annual show is underway. The Royal Bathurst Show has the enviable title of " Royal " so a long time ago someone Royal must have visited. I wonder who?

The show lasts for three days and all sorts of things are on exhibit, animals, fleece, produce, dogs and chickens, hats and warm caps. If I was selling anything today at the show I would have chosen wooly hats and scarves as we have had a dramatic drop in temperature and Snow is forecast for the weekend in neighbouring towns. Tomorrow it will only get up to 6degrees and seeing it was summer not long ago, that is a bit chilly.

I knew that they were having fireworks at 8.30pm so I did some research and got the camera all ready and waited and waited and waited. Finally they started. Anyway I took a variety of blips which all came out like modern art. I put the camera on P and set it at small aperture and slow shutter speed. The shutter speed was so slow it wouldn't turn off. So next try was to increase the ISO and see how that would go. I have no idea what settings this came out on but I know it was a long shutter speed and hand held. Now the fireworks are finished so I'll just have to upload the best of them. What fun.

The funny thing was every time I changed any settings the automatic light outside came on which mucked up the settings again. You do need a sense of humour if you persist in photography. I hope you all have a great weekend.
