Under Blackfriars railway bridge
The last back blip this week...
I like the patterns in this view of the underside of Blackfriars rail bridge. The bridge must always have been like this, but I don't remember seeing it before the work was done to improve Thaneslink. I think the path used to go through what is now the south side ticket office and station entrance, so the underside of the bridge wasn't visible from there.
The tube strike has been useful as it's showed me that, if I really walk quickly. I can walk between Waterloo and work in under half an hour. The route to the new office is surprisingly quicker than the route to the old, which took 15 mins longer. As it takes 20 minutes to do the journey by tube, it makes a lot of sense to walk instead.
