Merry Christmas...

From the little town (Washburn, Wisconsin) on the big lake (Lake Superior)!

As you can see the big lake has begun its annual freeze. It's just thick enough to walk on right now, soon it will populated by ice fisherman. Right now it has a good 4+ inches of slush covering the ice. We were graced with 12+ inches of snow on Christmas Eve followed by rain/sleet/mix today. Tomorrow the world will be one large ice scape as the temperatures are steadily dropping and rain is still a coming.

Anyone remember my blip a couple days regarding a special tree ornament? Well today I relieve that special symbolism... Hubby and I are expecting our first baby! The expected due date is July 1, 2010. We got through the first trimester successfully and now it's time to tell the world. Last Friday we went to the doctor's for a very important appointment - we heard the bean's heartbeat for the first time and probably more important, the little heartbeat confirmed that our baby is healthy and growing at the end of the 1st trimester.

I think from this point on every Thursday or Friday you'll get to see a baby bump progress report as I want to document the growth.
