Eva's very first Parent's Evening xx

I got Eva to nursery this morning just in time for music time with Tina :-) she was in the Explorers Room again today.

Today's daily entry...
Date: 29/4/14
Key worker: Gemma
Meals:
Breakfast: ate at home
Snack: kiwi and plum
Lunch: shepherds pie and yoghurt
Tea: crackers, cheese and raisins
Bottles: all on bed, milk at 2pm in cup at table with other children
Sleep: 12.10-1.05
Nappies: 9.45w, 2.30s, 4w
Activities: Eva has been mark making today! Eva has used the different coloured felts to make marks on her animal picture.

Gemma gave me the picture of the horse that Eva had been 'mark making' on to bring home, it was lovely and all the little marks that she'd drawn on were all inside the lines too :-)

I was so excited this evening, as it was Eva's first ever Parent's Evening. Liza and Lorna were coming round to babysit Eva and Jake, and Eva's slot with Heidi, her Baby Room key worker, was at 6.40pm. When Mike and I arrived, we sat on little baby stools round the little table, it was so cute. Heidi took us through Eva's profile folder which showed all the progress she was making. It included lots of photographs and examples of observations that had been made, including when Eva was seen copying Heidi, by rocking one of the other baby's that was asleep in the rocker. I brought the folder home, so that I could read it all properly. They were really pleased with how Eva was settling into nursery in general and said she was having a lovely time being in the Explorers Room and would be moving up officially in the next couple of weeks.

When we got back, Liza and Lorna had bathed Eva and she was sat in her babygrow all ready for her milk and bed, playing with her musical instruments. I love today's pic of Eva showing off her new skills at being able to blow into the harmonica while Aunty Liza plays the Swanee whistle. Xxx
