The Crane

On the way back from Edinburgh this evening I took a diversion off the motorway to stop next to the Squinty Bridge. I was thinking about a blip of the bridge again, but instead decided to photograph the Finnieston Crane.

Glasgow's industrial history is impressive and this large crane sitting on the River Clyde near the heart of the city is a daily reminder of past glories. Although I ended up focussing on the crane you can still see the bridge behind it.

One of the bonuses of this photo was that there was an interesting cloud formation above the crane when I took the shot, which is easier to see if you look at it large.
