Nepalese Symbol

Having a few internet problems, the link broke down before I could post any words. It is working again but only intermittently

Some years ago we bought our first proper rug. It cost what seemed like a small fortune and I never dared tell anyone how much. It was hand made in Nepal from the wool of long haired sheep and is mostly a natural grey with a white border and a little Nepalese symbol in the corner. A very simple, plain understated carpet but it made our sitting room very homely and snug.
I can still remember when one of HL's friends, who tends to be rather scatty, spilled a glass of red wine all over it. I was a bit anxious about it at the time thinking we would never get the red wine out of it but Hanne Lene's father was very pragmatic and confident about it and told us the lanolin would protect it. He was right. Hurrah for mountain sheep and Danish fathers in law.
Fifteen years on and the carpet still looks as good as the day we first brought it home.
