Scarborough Harbour
It's just after 7 in the morning. It's chilly in the mist but
men such as this do not feel the cold. Their blood is
thickened by the salt of a lifetime at sea. Men such as
this do not retire when there they can make themselves
useful. This morning it is baiting crab pots for the waiting
coble. Men such as this know the inshore waters of this
coast like the back of their hands. They have to - their
lives depend on it.
