Welcome Montana
When we bought the house over half of the back garden was covered in thick concrete. We were both working and the garden was seriously neglected. We decided just before I retired that we would have it restructured. However we decided that we would save those plants we liked and select others ourselves. On small plant we found was Clematis Montana. Janet decided that it would look good on the bottom stone wall and she has assiduously cultivated it, cut it back and encouraged it to spread itself along the stone wall at the end of the garden. It is now prolific. Its strength lies not so much in the beauty of individual blooms but more in its mass effect. It is now blooming day by day and I'm pleased we'll see it at its best before we go on holiday. I decided to put it in the spotlight because of the pleasure it gives us.
