Gods Providence House

Back in Chester this week. This is one of the many old timber building that survive in the city centre.
This one has some very nice pargeting on it's face ( that is what the fancy plasterwork is called.)
Apparently it's name came from the occupants surviving an outbreak of the plague in the 1600's when thousands died.

It forms part of the rows where there is a shop and at street level coffee house.
