The house next door has been sold. The new owners showed up today to inspect their property so we invited them in for a coffee. They won't actually be moving in for another year at least, they intend to do some extensive additions and alterations. We have lots of noise and dust and disruptions to look forward to.

But on the bright side, we've been given permission to climb the front gate to retrieve any footballs that sunshine might kick over accidentally - the previous owners were not so amenable to that, and in fact stopped throwing back the balls, much to sunshine's despair.
