Jarrah Honey

Now I know I'm going to come under fire from my New Zealand Blipper friends but here we go! Every since I was a very little girl growing up in Perth Western Australia I have been made aware of the wonderful properties of honey but in particular "JARRAH HONEY". West Aussies believe that Jarrah Honey has the best medicinal properties of any honey in the world!! Are any New Zealanders still talking to me??

I can't remember the last time I had a cup of tea for instance where I didn't have a teaspoon of honey in it. My Dad and Mum swore by it and let's face it they did live until they were 89 and 90 respectively.

Jarrah Honey is an incredibly rare commodity so I was astonished to see Jarrah Honey available in Melbourne recently and bought up a dozen jars of it believe it or not. Now I was curious because I had only ever been able to buy Jarrah Honey when I was home visiting my family in Perth. I had to get to the bottom of this mystery and after a couple of phone calls to Wescobee in Western Australia and Capilano in Qld discovered that Capilano had bought out Wescobee Honey. Well what do you know, that explained why this well kept secret had been leaked into the Eastern States.

This my friends is a very serious business because now I'm worried everyone in Australia will find out about the wonderful properties of Jarrah Honey and I may never be able to buy it again!!
