100 Gifts

So I have decided on a theme for my next 100 blips. Based on the title of a book which my sister recommended a long time ago, but I confess I haven't yet read - "One Thousand Gifts" by Ann Voskamp. I can't quite commit to 1000 blips, but I thought 100 was a more attainable goal. So my next 100 blips are going to be of Gifts - something that has been given to me, not purchased or earned, but just given - either by a specific person or just from God. Starting from yesterday, the gift of a painting by our eldest son.

Today's gift #2 is something that arrived in the mail today. Getting anything personal in the mail, let alone a parcel, is quite a rarity these days! It was a gift from D's sister, in Nottingham. When we were there visiting earlier this month, I admired her magnetic toast tongs, and so she just went and sent us a pair. Now we wont have to stick knives dangerously in the toaster any more to retrieve stuck pieces of toast. The really nifty thing about them is the magnet that attaches it to the side of the toaster so it is always handy when you need it.
