The rhythm of the falling rain

It's been nearly constant all night and all day, sometimes torrential. It feels peculiar because the temperature is balmy, when it has recently been so cold. More of the same is expected through the night with an end to it finally tomorrow. A number of roads are closed due to flooding and we have had a small river flowing through our backyard where there is usually a lawn. So the best I could do was a shot out the front door.

It is hard to believe that tomorrow will be May 1 and the foliage is still so sparse.
