Meet Flick

This is Flick Faulds, the avatar I created in Second Life a few years ago to research my thriller, "Virtually Dead". Flick set up a detective agency in the virtual world and to his and my amazement was flooded with clients who paid him to unmask errant lovers, track down "griefers", warn off bullies and find missing avatars. Sadly he is now redundant, but I log in every so often to keep the account alive. I logged in tonight, and there he was, looking a bit sorry for himself, so I took a photograph of him for my blip.

I spawned several avatars who worked as detectives at his agency, as well as creating the actual character from the book, Chas Chesnokov - a Brad Pitt lookalike. When the book first came out in the States, I filmed a book trailer in Second Life, with the help of friends I had met in the virtual world. I also made the soundtrack for it. Here is the French version which I adapted for the French edition of the book which came out last year.
