May day eve - an eve of the finnish carneval

Celebrations among the younger generations are about to take place today - on May Day Eve - so the centre of the city was very crowded already...

...we had a short walk in the Tampere central square called Keskustori and stopped for a moment to listen to the great band of indians. They often play here and have just great ethnic clothing. The blip is from the detail of one of their garments!

Tomorrow is a bank holiday in Finland, only restaurants are open. Some rain and cold weather coming. As often in May Day.

It felt freezing already, only +7c as we walked in the city. Sauna is warming up. Lovely!

Thanks for your nice comments and stars to my humble landscape scene yesterday. Hope you like more visiting today here - and if you like to see more shots from finnish May Day eve and the whole band of indians, here is some ;).
