HELIX PARK

I popped out at lunchtime to take a closer look at the new Helix Park. It is situated to the west of West Mains Industrial Estate in Falkirk and has been transformed into a wonderful urban greenspace. Within the Park there is a shingle beach surrounding the lagoon, and the lagoon plaza with cafe and splash play area - Jets of water leap from the ground and invite young and old alike to take part. Helix Park is a 43ha zone of the 350ha that make up The Helix, with high quality pathways connecting to Helix South and Helix North via The Kelpies through the 27km path network; perfect for cycling, walking, running, skating or riding. The weather was a bit cold and wet but this meant there weren't many people around to interrupt my photography. Best viewed large.
