feeding out in the flooding

this is what I saw over the fence this morning after 2 days of non stop rain, the paddocks are worst than last yr. the neighbour had to use a boat to feed out to the horses. the hay is on the rhs of pic, the only dry land in 18 acres except for where the house is. The horses are near the shed in the middle, they were up to their bellies. this is in the HoonHay area of Christchurch
