Grand-daughter A has a new baby sister M !

Born Sunday, April 27th at 10:44 am.
19 inches (48.5 cm)
5 lbs, 11 oz.

There was a minor bit of drama. Her due date was supposed to be May 10th, but there were several medical concerns (one of which was a knot in the umbilical cord) so Daughter #2 ended up having labor induced.
This was very disappointing for the family, as Son-in-Law #2 was at a special work project in South Carolina.
He flew back immediately, of course, but missed being at the birth by two hours.
Being two weeks early affected the baby's weight - they tell us she probably would have been at least two pounds heavier - but it's an acceptable weight. This makes her the smallest baby on both sides of the family going back many generations.
Otherwise, Mommy and Baby are doing well.
We drove up to visit, blip and hold M at the hospital because they will probably be discharged tomorrow.
