Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols

Christmas Eve.

For many years I have started the food preparation for Christmas whilst listening to the annual service from the Chapel of King's College, Cambridge on BBC Radio 4. Whilst making soup, preparing vegetables and simmering the turkey giblets for gravy stock, I really enjoy singing along. The service has remained the same for over 90 years - Bible readings, with carols in between. This year the choir sang one of my all-time favourite's, a French traditional carol, which I first sang at school in the chamber choir - Il est né le divin enfant.

Later on we will go down to the Watchnight service at church. I wonder which of my photographs were chosen for the Winter Snow powerpoint?
