Keeping them in separate rooms definitely works better as far as getting sleep goes, though Amos might regress a little bit being back in beside his mum rather than in his own cot. This room is not ideal for sleeping in but the portable blackout blind was just big enough to fit the big window and I should be able to find something to block out the small window. The noisy gentleman downstairs stopped playing his noisy music reasonably early, neither traffic-noise nor sofa-bed creaking woke Edgar and I mostly managed to prevent him ratcheting me onto the floor. With no functional toilet facilities at home this is by far the best option for a couple of days.
