More manual labour, but this time I didn't know my own strength, or rather the spade's weakness. This is a bed for new hedge to give some shelter and privacy. It was going well until SNAP.

Thus far I haven't really done much about the garden apart from strimming and spraying the docks. But this is the first digging I've done. I'm not a very experienced gardener, but have dug some holes in my time. I've never seen the like of this - the soil comes out in lego like blocks. Hard work to break up. Hope the hedge appreciates the hard work.
