Kitchen
Today, Rose & I cycled out to the post office at the other end of Craigentinny Road (Telferton), quite a cycle for those wee legs but she did really well. We were picking up a package with her name on it.
It turned out to be her birthday present from Auntie Viki and was an original copy of the soundtrack to Annie.
As previously mentioned on this journal, I can't stand musicals but recently Rose saw Annie for the first time and, I'll be fucked but, I really enjoyed it.
Best. Film. Ever. According to Rose.
She's currently lying in bed listening to it from the kitchen as she drifts off to a happy sleepy nod place where girls stand up for themselves, fight and equal boys, love animals and are generally happy go lucky.
Kinda like reality is sometimes but it's not always perceived like that. And sometimes it just plain ain't. It can be a frustrating world for all of us, where no one's really sure what any one's role is but at the same times loads of folk are trying to make assertions about how everyone else should be doing things and what they should be.
Fuck em. They can only know as much as you and often less, they're all bluster which hides their own uncertainty.
Always be you, Rose. You're brilliant.
