Companions

The boys are downstairs watching football; the girls are upstairs watching allotments. Every now and then my life is a cliche. What I do like these days is the kids staying up later and hanging out with us.

It's been a rather lovely day. The tube strike has meant Carl was at home so we had a very pleasant coffee shop outing this morning. Even did some work together. And with no childcare there was an impromptu park trip after school.

And I'm a little relieved as a long work project came to completion.

And now I have a cliche-busting boy with me too.
