Beauly Firth and Charleston area of the Black Isle.

Grey day all day, with a bit of brightness trying to break through in the above, From the cycle home. Back home early to carry on with the editing of photos from the weekend.

Springwatch - heard a solitary Willow Warbler singing its beautiful little song on the way home this evening - first one of the year. Considering how similar they physically are to Chiffchaffs, I always find it strange why the latter arrive over a month beforehand. The Willlow Warbler's arrival seems to have tied in with the opening of many of the tree leaves locally (this year). There will be loads of bugs on the leaves whilst they are tasty and tender, and before they darken and fill with anti-bug toxins!
