At long last

Today was a trip out for which I have been waiting some 2+ years! I have been following particular item which originally I saw was coming up for auction in March 2012. It went to the wire but did not make it for various reasons. Since then I have been following this item, via the auctioneers lovely Nicola who has been a great help, for 2 years. Finally it made to their London saleroom in March 2014 and I was successful on telephone bidding to secure it. So today it was a trip to Blandford Forum to The Crown Hotel to collect my prize as they were holding a valuation day there. The item I just had to buy because the maker has the same name as I!!
J and I went for a wander around the town after lunch and I was going to blip a super greengrocers which had assorted tubs outside filled with various vegetable with some mixed and even one with sticks of rhubarb and apples. The pleasure was that any tub was £1. I thought the idea was brilliant and the value was excellent.
So all in all a good day......even if I did have to wait 2 years!
