Gino & Carlo

Nostalgia is overrated, but the Jarvis prefers to drink in bars that have changed little in the past 50 years. Such a place is Gino & Carlo in North Beach, San Francisco, that still retains many of its original fittings from 1942. The North Beach area has been gentrified greatly since then, but Gino & Carlo remains imperturbable in the face of such faddishness.
