Princess Selfie
Today I spent the morning being lazy over breakfast watching Grimm before getting showered and ready for the day.
I braided my hair with silk flowers and wrapped the plaits around the crown of my head. I wore a pale pink tulle skirted dress with a coral pink shrug cardigan - today was ballerina chic day.
I wore my pointe shoes for a while and went out into the yard to dance and enjoy the blossom that grows over the wall. The rose tree that grows among it's branches is ripe with rose hips, the flowers won't be long before they bloom too.
Mostly I just balanced on pointe and held poses as it has been a while since I did a lot of work in my pointe shoes. Luke took some photos of me in the garden and some are quite pretty with the blossoms overhead and the fallen petals at my feet. It was fun, sort of like playing La Sylphide or the Lilac Fairy with a garden as my backdrop.
Later on I brought down my Aurora Animator doll and we had some fun together, I took photos of all the things we got up to including dancing with our Dream Princes, reading fairy stories, having a cup of tea, trying on princess heels, signing her autograph and taking selfies! Here she is wearing a daisy chain in her hair with her friend the owl. She also had fun dressing up in some new outfits including Sorcerer Mickey and Snow White. I think I shall have to make a few outfits just for her especially some comfy PJs considering how much time she spends sleeping!
Luke and I had some dinner which consisted of sugar snap peas and fries, it would also have been hare fillets but once it was cooked neither of us liked the taste so we just had the sides! At least we tried it and we now know we don't like hare!
Today I am grateful for being able to do things that bring me joy and allow me to have fun, even if it makes me feel more like 16 than 27.
