Francisco

Dapper Cuban gentleman I met in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami. Little Havana is a strange Cuban enclave in the middle of Miami; when you enter it, it feels a bit like you've stepped into another country altogether: the food, the cigars, the music, the language, the domino players, and some of the architecture, all hark straight back to Cuba itself. With one difference: a profound hatred of the Cuban government...

Francisco was adorable, in deport and in demeanor, decked out in shined shoes, a freshly pressed shirt and suit, and with a mischievous sparkle in his eyes. He is apparently a fixture in these parts and has been in the US since the Cuban revolution. He was a gentleman, through and through. Nice departure from the stoned out and drunk crowd in SoBe (and ladies sporting live snakes around their necks…) :)
