Arrived Freehay

After an early start and a long drive down the M6 we arrived at our campsite outside Freehay at about 5pm. There were 5 of us staying in the cabin and another 5 camping.

The first thing I did was get changed and get straight in the hot tub. Roz, Maddy and I had stayed here about 9 - 10 years ago but they didn't have cabins with hot tubs back then. I have to say with the regular bursts of rain we had for the week the hot tub was an essential. We'd probably have been pretty miserable if we'd been stuck inside the cabin every evening, but when the water was 40 degrees celcius a little rain was pretty refreshing. In fact by the time we headed home, if there wasn't any rain to cool us down we were having challenges to see how much ice water we could take being poured over us before it got too much.

This is Jan, Sam (aka family smith) and Craig in the hot tub late in the first evening.
