Jonathan tries to run around the corner of the West Park defence. He is not successful, and that's Tag 2 (of 7). His team, Watsonian Warriors (Blue) would go on to score in this passage of play, and tie the game against West Park.

The Primary 3 (Under 8) Warriors gave excellent account of themeselves at Northern RFC in Gosforth. Facing off against the home team, plus teams from West Park (from Leeds), and Morpeth, the Warriors were not fancied to win any games. The English sides play "tag" rugby, whereas Scottish sides play "touch". The difference in codes proved the undoing of last year's touring teams, but this year the Warriors were better prepared, and fared well as a result.

The boys all played very well and with excellent spirit.
