5000 mile Spring Onions?

Seriously, these spring onions have travelled 5000 miles from Mexico to Scotland.
We try our best to shop responsibly but some things just slip through.
Unlike Top Gear, I've nothing against Mexico or Mexicans but can it really be better for supermarkets to import Spring Onions from that distance?
Oh and they weren't even that good either!

What a relief that was - always a worry :-)

Also took Barney out to the Bush to get one of his paws checked over as sometimes he carries it when running.
Turns out there's a slight wound between 2 toes.
The vet prescribed some steroid/antibiotic cream and, no running for a week.
The second bit's gonna be hard as he's enjoying a run every morning these days!

All in all, not the cheapest day I've had in a while, but hey, the Landy's legal for another 12 months and Barney's been checked over by the experts :-)
