The Old Oak Tree Rapeseed Field
It was one of those days when I just couldn't be bothered to do much, but did pop out to see an old mate for a couple of hours. To cut a long story short, he was going through a divorce and after selling the house bought a caravan, with a new car, to live in. Still friendly with his wife, he offered to share the caravan whilst she sorted out a rented place.
That was about 9 months ago. Theyre' getting on so well and enjoying life travelling around campsites, they're not now bothering with the divorce!! They are allowed three weeks on site and then legally have to move off for at least one day before they can move back. This isn't a problem as they go to another site for a week. They've just had a week in the Cotswolds and on Sunday 18th May, they're off to Tewkesbury for the week. About three years ago, it was something we were going to do but the other half decided she preferred 5 star hotels in the sun!! :)
Good on people for getting off the treadmill of life and doing something different.
On the way home I drove by my all time favourite tree and just love the stunning yellow rape behind. After my last three blips of black and white images, a bit of colour is needed - and this has it in spades.
I could photograph this tree all day as it's so photogenic. Indeed, I have seem many a bride and groom being photographed with it.
