Ightham Mote

Driving to London last night meant that we were able to have a relaxing day out as we made our way to the cottage. We called at Ightham Mote, which is a fascinating manor house surrounded by a moat. We had a tour of the house and even climbed the tower to see the view.

After lunch we finished our journey to the holiday cottage. A superb barn conversion on a working farm. The accommodation is great and we're going to be very comfortable this week. It's lovely and peaceful and it was great to sit and relax in the garden for a bit. The weather is wonderful and we're planning to go out this evening in the lovely golden light.
