Nesting

This Canada Goose is on an island on the boating lake.

She is sitting on her nest.

Whenever I walk by, she is there.

Hopefully soon there will be more goslings.

Another nest on this island has been abandoned.

The eggs are visible.

But no one keeping them incubated.

A couple of weeks ago several children were going up to the island on boats.

They were being a nuisance.

I was concerned that this may disturb the nesting birds.

This does seem to be the case.

Rather sad.

However, this goose is determined.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for her and her babies.
