Slow-worm

I've seen a number of slow-worms recently at the nature reserve, mostly in the overgrown edges of our chalkpits, but sometimes, sadly, flattened on the lane nearby. This one was true to its name and let me get a few good photographs. This is the commonest reptile in the British Isles, but is nonetheless exciting to see.
