A Woody Woodpecker prototype
This pileated woodpecker caught my eye in the park this morning, but he absolutely refused to cooperate in a photo opp. I watched where he landed, trudged through the underbrush, and stood under this tall tree to capture a blip. I am certain he knew I was standing below him because he moved up the tree, around the tree, turned his back to me, and finally flew away. This is the best blip of the bunch I took.
Gulliver had surgery this morning to remove a wart from his head and a couple of teeth that were misplaced and causing problems, according to the vet. We will bring him home in an hour. I hope he is still speaking to us. At least he will have clean teeth and a smooth head again.
