The result of debauchery...

We went into Manchester city centre yesterday to see the St. George's Day Parade. I've never been to see this though haven't missed the St. Patrick's Day Parade which has a longer history in the city surprisingly. We should make more of St. George. I'm all for dumping the May Day Bank holiday and having St. George's Day off instead.

I wondered what I'd see but it was rather well done and fun. Though I was confused by the belly dancers and was taken aback by the Scottish pipe band in full kilts playing 'Scotland the Brave.' Did Mr. Salmond pay them to do this? Would they play 'Jerusalem' on the Royal Mile on St. Andrew's Day?

I was taken by the Victorian couple who were looking out for the morals of the crowd, the lady ticking off young men in shorts should they have an effect on the morals of ladies in the crowd. As for the sign? Well if I stop posting pictures you will know that it has...
