Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin here in 1928. He later said:
"When I woke up just after dawn on 28th September 1928, I certainly didn't plan to revolutionise all medicine by discovering the world's first antibiotic, or bacteria killer, but I suppose that was exactly what I did."
Like his father, the future King George VII was born here on 22nd July 2013. He'll be 18 is 2031.
