Nearly an early bath

Poppy found a tennis ball on our walk today and took great pleasure in dropping it to be kicked and then retrieving it. This entertained her for most of our walk.

At the end of our walk to get Poppy clean we usually throw biscuits in the river and she swims for them. Today I thought that I would throw in the ball. Well that didn't go down well at all as she waited for biscuits and ignored the ball which promptly got carried down the river and then caught under some scum and twigs near the river bank next to some fallen trees.

I had a look and decided to leave the ball as it was in a difficult place to get to and was out of arms reach and under some river scum. Strangely Ange decided to have a go at getting it. She got a stick to help her and then leaned forward to reach down .....snap...the next thing I saw was Ange upside down heading head first towards the water, arms outstretched as if she were diving, but she was sort of bent double and her legs were off the ground as she was pivoting on a fallen tree trunk. Lucky for her it was there or she would have been in for an early bath!

Oh we did laugh!!! Well myself and all the people I have told the story to!!
