Eating my sausages from Becketts Farm Shop, Mmmmmm
Mike had to go into work early this morning, the last day of his week off. It was a shame, as I'd have loved him to come to Toddler Sense with us this morning. The theme this week was "potatoes", so the activities included threading hula hoops onto a length of string to make a necklace, playing 'pass the hot potato' and when the music stopped, whoever had a potato (aka some stuffing inside some old tights and tied into a potato shape ball) had to throw it as fast as they could into the hoop on the floor. We also sang "one potato, two potato..." . At the beginning of the session, all the children help themselves to rhythm sticks out of the big bucket and we sing "How do you do" and at the end, we sing the "Say goodbye" song. Eva loves it.
For lunch today, I made Eva sausage, beans and toast, using a sausage from those we bought at Becketts Farm Shop yesterday. She really enjoyed it. :-)
Eva was so cute this afternoon, she sat herself over by her books and sat chattering away to the books, as if reading them, and kept crossing her little feet over each other. When she clocked me recording her with my phone, she started playing 'boo' with the book and laughing. Such a little comedienne in the making.
My dad popped round for a coffee later this afternoon and to see us.
