Catkins

The birch trees in the garden are covered in catkins and the leaves are just out and a fresh green colour. They were blowing a bit and so not all sharp.
Birches are one of my favourite trees - except I think I'm allergic to their pollen! (It's some sort(s) of tree as I always get symptoms this time of year and that's one of the things flowering. I need to go to a birch-free area to see if I avoid the problem).
Church was quite full this morning as many of the "birthday boy's" (see yesterday for more detail) family were there. Great to see them all.
Catching up with a friend over lunch and then some relaxing and recovering from the busy week before the next one starts.
