'The Intruder'

A lovely day visiting Standen, National Trust. W.Sussex.
Lots of nice photos today of the house and gardens......but I couldn't resist this! It wasn't until I got home that I noticed 'The Intruder' in the mirror. He really does look guilty I think! Would have loved to have tried on the shoes and fur coat!

Standen tells the story of family life during the 1920's in a lovely setting. The late Victorian house, designed by Philip Webb and decorated by the firm Morris & Co (William Morris), is filled with decorative art and shows the Arts and Crafts Movement at its best. Wonderful views of the High Weald area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.This is my favourite National Trust property!
