One of my favourite walks this morning from Tarn Hows down through farmland to Coniston Water then back up through the woodland. On the downhill section there were belted galloways, ewes with  lambs and we saw our first swallows of the year. Going uphill the woodland was looking attractive with bluebells, wood sorrel  and lesser celandine.

I don't know if the omission of place names on this sign was accidental but someone has shown initiative to stop visitors taking the wrong route.
