Patterns in the sands

Sunday, a day of rest, started out a bit gloomy and foggy looking. HV and I had a bit of a slow start, before we got on with stuff around the house. I peeled labels off old wine bottles and then we built a flatpack wardrobe. Lunch came and went and I peeled some more bottles.
We met up with the fabulous Emmy and Sonja and we took a drive out to Skaill and a wander along the beautiful beach and up to the Hole o' Row. The weather improved by the minute and the sun came out. The sea was flat calm and the views were stunning. The dogs all enjoyed themselves, and we had a great time.
HV and I came home and she planted some rhubarb whilst I sterilised wine bottles, then filled 23 of them with Barolo. It is pretty good. Should be better if we can leave a few bottles to mature a while...

The blip today is the patterns that happen in the sand. Almost as if they have been painted on, dark streaks appear and spread across the sands. I like the abstract patterns and shapes they form.
