Fabulous day to end a really very splendid weekend. This morning there was a lot of cleaning up to be done as it turns out that making cocktails is a lot like having toddlers and I think every possible surface was sticky in some way. A slightly broken Carl headed off with J for the last football match of the season which joyously they won with a header from J securing them promotion and some harder games next season. Which I always think is kind of the mixed blessing of promotion.

But the main event of the day was a unique party to celebrate the coming of age / transitioning to teenagerdom / Youth Celebration for our very lovely friend's very lovely daughter. Completely made up format and completely brilliant, moving, touching and fun in equal measure.
